Cliifnotes AP Biology review book

Is everything in this book going to be everything in the actual AP Bio exam?

I heard about how superfluous information in the textbooks are, but this is ridiculous. A 10-page chapter in the Biology textbook is condensed to 5 paragraphs in the review book.

Also, what is your experience with this book? What do you think of it?

Most people say it’s a good review book. Emphasis on review.
I’m using it to supplement what we do in class and it’s very helpful, it’s more concise than the textbook we use in class.

Cliffnotes covers everything in detail. I think this is a good book to read and use to study for AP exam. It helped me a lot. There were a lot of stuff that my class didn’t cover, and I learned all those from Cliffsnotes. Princeton Review is also really good. It is really concise (more than Cliffsnotes), and covers only the most important stuff. Another thing is that older editions of review book does not mean they are not good. I used 2nd edition for Cliffsnotes and 2006 version of PR, and I did fine.

Cliffsnotes for AP Bio is an excellent review book. I’m gonna have to disagree with the person above me, and say that Princeton Review is really inadequate for AP Biology. It’s TOO condensed to the point where it misses a lot of key facts and chapters. Stick with Cliffsnotes and you’ll do great.

No, Cliff’s is good for review. You do not learn from Cliff’s. You review from it. You learn from Campbell. That’s it. Do not study out of there alone. Campbell is your bible.

i got campbell 7ed. as my textbook and i just ordered cliffsnotes last week. hopefully that will suffice. any of you guys using the online textbook from campbell?

We have a supplement CD that comes with our Campbell Textbook(7th edition). It’s not the online textbook but it has activities that are very helpful.

Use Barron’s Ap Bio instead (teacher’s recommendation) + Cambells

The Campbell’s CD is excellent. If anyone out there has it, but hasn’t used it, do so immediately!

Academicterror, what makes Barron better than Cliffnotes?

My Ap bio teacher has 4 of the top AP bio books (cliffs, 5 steps, pr, barron’s). She’s personally looked through all of them and says that Barron’s is the best (more info and includes the info you need for an A in the class and a 5 on the test)
