Cliques?

I always thought the whole clique thing was interesting. I've never experienced it though. In my high school we all have our group of friends that we hang out with simply because we have a better time with them, but it would never be strange if you just went up to someone you normally don't talk to and have a conversation with them. I mean, for the most part, even though we have a pretty large class, no one really "hates" each other. But I know that in some of my friends' schools they find it strange if someone they usually don't talk to comes up to them and starts a conversation. They say that everyone pretty much only converses and hangs out with their group of ten or so friends and that's it.

So, how 'bout you? Does your school have cliques? What's it like?

Im guessing your school is big?

Most larger schools dont seem to have cliques

My school doesn’t really have cliques either. There are about 1500 total students in my high school, and almost everyone gets along. It’s basically the pot heads and emos, the losers that everyone makes fun of, and everyone else.

We have over 2000 kids in my school. And while I wouldn’t say that there are cliques per se, but it would be really weird for someone to walk up and chat with somone that they don’t usually talk to. Even if you have a class together, if you never talk then that’s just weird.
We group off by clubs or sports a lot, although all of the AP kids pretty much all talk to each other and break the club/sports barrier.
But going up and trying to bond with people you don’t know… yeah, some of our ghetto kids might beat you up, or think you’re trying to find drugs.

I think most of the cliques in my school were established in middle school. As a person who was new in high school, I couldn’t give a f8ck about the cliques and I just chill with whoever wants to chill with me. It’s worked out fine. In a day, I go from talking to a metalhead to an artsy chick to a cheerleader to an anime nerd to my main friends. They’re all cool to me

There’s group at our schools, yes.
On a side note, I absolutely hate the “AP” kids at my school with a passion. Their minds are all drained of anything that isn’t school-related, and I absolutely hate listening to their constant talk of their stupid scores, as if that determines their lives.
I wouldn’t be surprised if most of those idiots are on this site.

I wouldn’t be surprised if most of those idiots are on this site. -> Like you?
