I know I'm just being extra sensitive and even unfair, but this has been disturbing me for daysss and I can't get over it!
I checked out a couple clubs through the Rice website and was surprised to find that the ones I could find in the directory were pretty limited. The websites were really outdated as well. Is club activity not a big thing at Rice?
What truly disheartened me the most was the horrible grammar (not even colloquial grammar, but literally where did you learn English grammar) on these websites. Club activity + grammar=my life!!!

...Someone tell me that I'm just being obnoxious and downright ridiculous; that Rice has wonderful clubs that simply tend to abandon their websites and that all the Rice students including international students have beautiful grammar that simply failed to fully showcase on these said abandoned websites.

Here’s a list of the clubs at Rice. I don’t see anything wrong with the grammar and it seems to be incredibly comprehensive. From what I could remember, Rice had 216 clubs on campus which is large for a university its size.

My son’s club sport website is way, way out-of-date! They are thrilled to have made Regionals and are busy preparing for that tournament… I don’t think there has been any activity on their website in over a year, and, yes, there is a spelling mistake on their page. I think someone was in a hurry putting up the website, and it got forgotten. Not to worry- this club is VERY active and busy working out and playing.
If you are interested in a Rice club, I suggest you email the contact person and ask any questions you have. But don’t take the websites inactivity to mean that the clubs aren’t active!

Reaffirrming waht anxiousmom said. The club my s was active in had (probably still has) an out of date website-- they still had him as the go-to guy and he graduated 2 yrs ago!

I would say about 95% of all the clubs do not update their websites ever or even have one. Also, Rice students have excellent grammar.

Rice has a lot of clubs and most of them are very active. When you come to Rice, during O-week, there will be an activities fair where you can see most of the clubs offered at Rice and talk with people already in the club.

So, there is no need to worry, clubs are abundant at Rice.
