Club question

What are some ways to get people to want to join a sort of community service club? It's a club that raises funds for education/health-related issues and also raises awareness. And it connects students to volunteer opportunities inside and outside of the community.

Also, what are some unique fund raising strategies that you guys have found to be successful? Any new kinds of events or anything different that really gets people to donate?

I'd really appreciate any input. Thanks a lot! :)

Make cupcakes for the first meeting but only give them to people who stay the whole time. That’s what UNICEF club did today :P

Food or gifts are not the answer. A free sample at Costco doesn’t garuantee a purchase.

Target those you legitly want- those willing to volunteer or who have similar passions.

You can also target those in need if service hours if you give them out.

Both groups are people you can expect to return and stay, not check in and promptly check out.
