Oftentimes, I have found that fundraising for a club, especially an expensive club, can be an extremely daunting task. In particular, I am the president of a Youth and Government club in my school which costs between 400 and 500 dollars per person. In the past we have had a difficult time raising any money and I would like to change that. This being said, do you guys have any good fundraising ideas? Fundraisers for any season are applicable. Thanks!
My robotics team is doing :
Car washes
Dounut sales
“Pizza nights” and “panda express nights” where the restaurant will give you a portion of their proceeds
Gofundme
And sponsorships from businesses
That’s off the top of my head. I’ll write down more if I can think of them
Parent barging in but can be fun to organize some activity like a dodgeball tournament to raise funds. These types of fundraisers were popular at my kids’ school because students were always looking for something to do and they were fun with different teams coming up with crazy names and costumes.

I am in Y&G too!! It was my first year and it was amazing. It’s great that you guys are doing fundraisers b/c we each had to pay so much money. I know some clubs have these huge yard sales where each person brings some of their old things to sell.
My school finds that one bake sale alone during lunch can bring anywhere from $200 to $400, depending on how good the food is (: They are also great advertisements of the club. You can also do stuff like “Buy something, get a free cookie”
Other than that, car washes and t-shirt sales
12 hour Dance a thons are fun!!
Also, have you heard of teespring? I have looked at their website but I’m not sure 100% how it works and if it’s trustworthy
I’ll second bake sales. Sometimes you can make them last a few days, and as the bake sale goes on, maybe you can start offering specials or deal. In the past my school has done things such as penny wars (kids bring in coins and stuff and the grade that brings in the most money gets a prize or something–we coordinated with the teachers and the winning grade got get-out-of-detention lips) and lotteries for small prizes (like the get-out-of-detention slips mentioned above.) During the winter, we also had hot chocolate, tea, and coffee sales before school started (it brought in some money, but definitely not as much as the bake sales!)
My science olympiad team got 1000 cards from sonic that we sell for 5 bucks apiece
Nice dinner-auctions are huge and can bring in $10,000 or more. Everyone gets to go out to a fun dinner, and bid on services and products donated by local businesses. They take some effort, but it beats selling overpriced cookie dough.
I agree with bake sales.
School (spirit) clothing sales
Car wash
Penny wars
