Club Sports at Columbia

Anyone know what the general range of club fees at Columbia is for club sports? Skiing, for instance, sounds like it would get expensive with the weekly practices on the mountains. But men's lax, which is usually expensive, is only something like $200.

Ski & Ride is $450 for a semester, which is actually a really good deal.

Most clubs have dues around $200. I think Mens ice hockey is a bit more

dang that’s such a big jump from the 5 dollar per year dues in high school haha

$200? That’s so good! My high school lax is $125 and club soccer put me out $1000 for a year (so 500 a semester I guess) and I go to public school and played for the “cheap” soccer club. Man, if I get in I’m joining a sport!

Anyone know anything about the cycling team at Columbia or any Ivy league for that matter?

I was heavily involved with club sports for my time at Columbia. Was president of 1 and at least 2 of my close friends were presidents of different ones.

There really is quite a range in dues and is mostly due to the help (or lack thereof) that the school gives each club as well as alumni involvement. A guess about the range is 25$-500$. The cheaper ones are the martial arts and more expensive sports like hockey, equestrian, lacrosse, etc.

A lot of clubs will also have two pricing tiers, one for new players and one for returning ones (startup costs associated with new players like uniforms and whatnot…).

My friend does Volleyball, I think its like 150.
