how many students join new clubs/organizations for the winter quarter? or are most of the clubs just gonna have the same students from the fall?

are the clubs as open to new members at the start of the winter as they are in the fall? trying to get new members to join?

i think most clubs and orgs do their recruiting thing in the fall, you know that activities fair thingy, unless they are having another one for winter quarter

There's no particular number. Of course they recruit heavily during fall quarter. If you have particular clubs in mind, just look them up on The UCLA Student Groups Web Page and shoot them an email. I had similar questions about some that I were interested in Winter Quarter (and heck even in Spring). Point is, it's never too late. Clubs are always looking for new members; how else would they continue their organization? Unless, of course, it's completely exclusive or if they only search for members during fall quarter (example: some frats/sororities).

You can join clubs anytime. People join at anytime. As you can see, there are Winter and Spring rushes for selected Greek organizations.

As for on campus clubs, you will just have a harder time getting to know people in the clubs, since the regular members already know each other. I feel that Winter quarter is when cliques become more evident, inside and outside of clubs. It's slighgtly harder (but not impossible) to meet new people due to the conglomeration of groups created during Fall quarter, but it also depends on your openess and comfort zone.

Any club on campus wants more members - this means more $$ to fund the organization. Try to join a few that you have interest in and time for.
