I’m looking for something to add to my application that would make it pop. One idea that I had was to create a club. I would be especially interested in creating a club involving sports or business. I’m thinking of possibly doing something with the Stock Market Game but haven’t developed it any further. Please let me know if there are any clubs that would be cool to create!
Don’t do it for colleges.
Why not?
Do it for yourself.
Colleges don’t like it when you pile on ECs to impress ad comms, If you’re creating the club for college admissions and not because of some burning passion for business, don’t do it.
Randomly starting a club won’t make your application pop. Don’t do it thinking it will improve your app, do it because you enjoy it. It doesn’t sound like you have a good reason to.
I actually am interested in starting a club in something that I like to do, it’s just an added bonus that it looks good on an application.
Then make a club associated with what you like to do. Being passionate about it is what makes it pop, not the topic or idea based around the club. Math club is not viewed as a lesser club than Writing club (generic examples).
