We visited Pomona and my D was ecstatic--thought it was a match match made in heaven. Her school counselor seems to think that its very hard to predict if she will be an attractive candidate and suggeste we visited CMC.
She has minor leadership experience and is a quiet person. Frankly, I thought Mudd (likes science or Scripps might be more suitable). I am overstating the CMC leadership emphasis? Thanks!

(Don't take my word on this) I feel that CMC has quite a strong emphasis on leadership. I wasn't underqualified for CMC, but I wasn't overqualified either. I feel that my leadership positions in school along with my interview were what got me in. That, and the fact that I just got lucky!

Did your D apply for Pomona? If so, fingers crossed for her! :)

That's so cool whylime, congratulations :). may i ask you what your stats/activities are?

mommamia-
If you look under the Scripps thread, there is a very interesting and informative post by a current Scripps student which detail Scripps and the other Claremont colleges. I found it really helpful.

Apply to all 3, they are all amazing. My D visited Scripps but after spending a night on campus, felt the all women atmosphere was just not for her. She never turned in her app. She sat in on a class and loved it and felt the academics and professors were great and the campus beautiful, dorms spacious. I was disappointed she didn't apply as I fear she will not get accepted to CMC. 2 at our HS were already accepted at CMC and her GC said they never take more then 2 from our H.S. We still hold out some hope that this year will be different. The perpetual optimist. Do not give up on Pomona either as they tend to hand pick kids that will add to the campus. My S did not think he would get in either and is a very contented freshman there.
