I’m a high school sophomore with plans to graduate early (getting a diploma at the end of junior year) and am set on applying to Carnegie as one of my top choices. Should I consider the Early Admission route for juniors or do RD.
I haven’t talked about this specifically with my counselor but when discussing college apps in general, she recommended I apply to one of my top schools’ Early Action (ie. Stanford) and if I get in I can save app costs for the others. If I don’t I can apply to another top school’s ED II (ie. CMU) before going to RD. What are your thoughts on this? Is it better to apply for ED II or RD for CMU than do Early Admission? (I’ve heard that you have to be an exceptional junior to get accepted in the latter)
