I am an international student. I have just gotten accepted into the Mechanical Engineering program from Carnegie Mellon University and University of Minnesota. My concentration will be on robotics. Although CMU has a much better reputation in the filed of robotics and overall , I heard that finding a job with a Mechanical Enginnering degree from CMU is very hard, especially for international students. Meanwhile, UMN offers a stronger traditional Mechanical Engineering curriculum with lower tuition. UMN also has a big mechanical engineering network in Minnesota.I am wondering which path I should take. Thank you very much.
