I need some help finalizing my schedule for senior year in High School:
So far I have already decided on the following:
AP Biology w/ lab
AP Calculus
AP Macro/Mirco
Humanities (English 4 Honors)
Robotics and Programming
Gym/health
Study Hall

Now I am not sure what my final course should be, I am stuck between AP Gov and AP Physics B.
AP Gov is taught by my favorite teacher (my current AP US History teacher) and I think it would be ideal to take it, but I heard from a friend that CMU requires Computer Science majors to take some Physics courses while in college, so it leads me to ask this question:
Should I take AP Physics w/lab or AP Gov?
I intend to major in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and I am not fond of Physics.

I will probably be going to CMU SCS this fall (unless I miraculously get into Stanford), and I can tell you that you won’t need to take physics as a CS major. [See this curriculum page.](http://www.csd.cs.cmu.edu/education/bscs/currreq_11.html)

However, CMU does expect SCS applicants to take at least a year of physics, from [the Academic Requirements page](<a href=“Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University”>Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University). If you really want to go to CMU, then the best choice of action would be to take physics.

Alright so I am currently in Physics Honors this year, is that good enough?

Alright I guess I’ll do AP Physics B (its taught by a part-time college professor at my school–he is a great teacher and might reinvigorate my interest in Physics) even though CMU offers no college credits for this course…
