cmu v Bc v neu premed

College deposit day is in 2 days and I’m still very confused about where to go for premed.
My choices are carnegie Mellon mellon college of science, Boston college a&s honors and northeastern a&s honors.

For me, each school has its pros and cons but I know for sure that I like Boston better than Pittsburgh.

Money wise I got the most money from CMU, then Northeastern, and then BC. Money is important because of med school. Bc and neu are like 5k difference and neu and cmu are 10k difference.

My worry about cmu is that it’s a very stress filled environment and of course the academics are amazing but getting a good GPA for med school is important and I’m worried about obtaining that at CMU.

Neu’s coop is awesome and I love the area, but academics aren’t as great as, say, BC or cmu. Flexibility here is great for majors/ minors and it would be easier to obtain a higher GPA and not be in a super stress filled environment.

Science at BC is great too but, from what I heard, advising system and chance for opportunities in research are worrisome and very self driven.

I’m Leaning towards neu because financial aid is good and I like the area and coops could really help for med school applications and I truly think I would enjoy myself there. But would I be passing up a major opportunity if I don’t go to cmu because of its academic prestige and various opportunities (and low cost)?? Or does BC have something in not considering?

I keep switching my mind every hour about the school I should go to, so I would really appreciate other people’s (besides my parents) opinions on this! Thank you very much!

@4elephant4: You should be wise and go to the college that offered you more $$, it’s a no brainier…CMU
