co-ed bathrooms

so, i'm really, really interested in conn, but i'm kinda not sure about the whole co-edness of the bathrooms. if i were to go, i'd consider an all-women's dorm floor--do you know what kind of people would opt for this? i hate to use the word normal but...do you think there are other "normal" people that feel this way, too??

i chose an all female floor my first year, just to give myself time to get used to the coed bathrooms. it worked out great, my floor was absolutely awesome. we had a mix of everyone- athletes, musicians, artists, theater people, etc.

thanks. that's great to know.

do you know if there are there co-ed bathrooms in chem-free housing?

yes, i would like to know this too........how about quiet housing as well?

It sounds weird at first to have co-ed bathrooms, but hundreds of colleges in the US have them and you just get used to them. I'm waiting for my Conn decision just like you guys, but I've done two overnights so far at other schools w/ co-ed bathrooms and everyone was really cool with it. You just get used to it I guess, although the transition is probably more difficult for girls than guys.

I didn't apply, and don't plan on going to Conn, but my sister goes there. When I visited her for 3 days I first thought co-ed bathrooms we're weird, but I rarely ever even saw another person in the bathroom while I was there. I got used to it quick, I'm sure everyone else will too.

yeah, i've heard that most people are fine with the co-ed bathrooms. i was just curious if that's the set up for chem-free and quiet housing, too. thanks for everyone's input so far!!

all dorms on campus have coed bathrooms, including the substance free and quiet housing. the one way to get around it if you choose to live on a single sex floor.

co-ed bathroom is not that bad...well but i do prefer all-girl floor at least
