co-ed rooming

I would be very much willing (as stated earlier) to room with a girl--just not a moody one. Most of my better friends are girls as I jsut seem to get along with them better and hey...something nice to look at :)

I'd personally LOVE to have a male roommate as long as he's gay. Some of my favorite people in the world are gay guys. I'll actually be looking for one if I move off-campus as an upperclassman.

Is it just me or do people these days need less Will and Grace sitcoms and queer guy for the straight man reality shows?

It's just you. Might be some of me, too. I go to an arts boarding school where around 80% of the boys are gay. There are some I'd room with now if it were allowed. Great people who would make great roommates. I'm going to be a theatre major, too, and expect a high percentage of the guys I'll be in class with to be gay. I would have never imagined myself saying that at the regular public high school I used to attend.

I think you will find that gays have as many different quirks and tendencies as straight roommates, Thesbo. My son had a gay roommate freshman year, and though they were able to work things out so that they got along and are "sort of" friends, there were friend of the roommate, that he could not stand and would have thrown out of the room in a heartbeat. I am sure the roommate felt the same way about S's friends male and female.
