Coach USA

My freshman son will be flying home for the Fall break from Midway. We have heard about Coach USA and will probably be purchasing a round trip ticket online. If for some reason the trip were canceled or the flight delayed on the return leg can you use the ticket on a different day? We've looked at their site and haven't seen anything to that effect. Any information would be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't know the answer, but you might want to contact Anthony Travel, located on campus in the basement of LaFortune. They should be able to accurately answer any questions about Coach USA. Also, I believe your S should be able to purchase Coach USA tickets in their office.

Thanks Greta,

I called Anthony's and he can get his ticket there unrestricted and cheaper than he can on line and he doesn't have to join their travel club. I appreciate your help.

How about south bend airport what's the best way to get back to school from there?

4mom4....Last year, when my daughter was a freshman, I, too, was worried about her not getting on the bus...I called Coach USA...and they said that NO ONE IS EVER LEFT BEHIND...all you have to do is buy a ticket, and there WILL be a bus there for your child.

Don't worry...just make sure that your child knows which bus to catch in order to get to the airport on time!!

Rest assured...Its a good system...and it works.

Thanks MamaSparrow. Kr123, I found out that ND students can ride the city buses for free with their ID and the buses go regularly to the South Bend Airport. I think that they have to make one change to get back to the ND campus. I don't have the URL but if you google the South Bend city buses you should be able to find their schedules and routes. You can also pay for Coach USA but free always sounds better to me. Even with one change, the city bus was about a 20 minute trip.

South Bend airport is best accessed by means of a friend's car.

Or a taxi! Son used cab last year several times to SB airport and as I recall, it was not that expensive. As he was a freshman, he did not know anyone with a car so the cab was easiest. He made a reservation ahead of time for pickup going to the airport and generally, on the return back to campus, he was able to share a cab with several returning students.

I have used Coach USA many many times. You can use the ticket from ND to Midway (or even use it to go to O'Hare) any day. There is no date restriction either way.

The Coach USA/Midway combination is wonderful...
