Fellow seniors! The application is open https://www.coca-colascholars.org/cokeWeb/page.jsp?navigation=15 and I think you can fill out the application now.
Best of luck to everyone.

Question about class rank- my school doesn't officially post ranks, so would it hurt me to not have a class rank on there? Or should I press my guidance counselor to find out my rank?

Good luck! I think I’m going to try this scholarship. I registered like an hour ago. They ask A LOT of questions about activities and stuff. I can’t really seem to fit all the clubs that I’m involved in into all the spaces…is there anywhere to attach additional information?

Press your counselor for your rank. If scholarship committees ask for it, it is usually important to comply.

If you cannot fit all of your information on the form it is acceptable to use another piece of paper, especially if you’re sending the application by mail.

What is the unique ID?

I think it’s for logging or something later, but I’m sure it’ll be mailed/emailed again once they pick their 2,200 people to go onwards.
I didn’t fit all my stuff either bleh, but I’ll just put it on the big stage two application process assuming I get that far.

for any extra activities, you would just post it under the “other” category. and i agree with madshock, if i get to the next stage, i’m planning on going into further detail then.

Hey guys  I applied for this scholarship too, but I’m not really sure how my case would be viewed by the scholarship committee. I’m a student who’s switched high schools twice (thus winded up attending 3 different high schools), none of which provided any form of class rank. Also, my junior/senior year high schools don’t even have grade distributions on their school profiles due to the small size of the classes, and in my junior year school’s case, the competitiveness of the student body. So I have absolutely no idea of determining my rank, even though I’ve searched a few old threads and have seen that rank/GPA seems to be an important factor in the decision making. Hopefully I get later chances to explain this…

Our counselor REFUSES to divulge rank to anyone outside of the top 10 (I assume because our graduating classes are always less than 100 people). So I have no idea how I’m supposed to answer the question. From other GPAs I know, I’m pretty sure I’m top 20, which is less than top 20% due to my class being 85 people, but that’s not an official rank.

anyone else apply for this? The email confirmation said that results should come out mid-December, but most past applicants seemed to have found out whether they made semis or not by mid-November.

Hmm interesting, I just checked my email and it does say that.
Yet the website said mid-November…
Well we’ll know when people start posting on CC I guess :)

were our guidance counselors supposed to confirm our application? i applied in august but mine never got an email from them to confirm it, and i never got anything from them either.

when do we find out about this?

I’m 80% sure mid-November: within the next 2 weeks.
We may have to wait til mid-December though, according to the emails…
The website said November, so yay for contradiction >:(. Historically its been November.

Will we be emailed the decision, or is it posted online?

Heard they sent out notifications today? Anyone heard? If so, how did you hear?

There is a list of semi-finalists at this link:

https://www.coca-colascholars.org/cokeWeb/servlet/SearchResultsController?actionPage=finalists

I am not positive that this list is for this year, but I believe it is.

I haven’t heard anything yet, and the link posted by Schokolade doesn’t work for me, so I don’t think they’ve sent them out yet

I clicked on the link to make sure it worked. Sometimes I just get the message:

However, I have gotten it to work once (and have confirmed that my daughter’s name isn’t on it, sadly.) As a result, I can tell that this is the correct link; it just doesn’t always work.

^When were you able to get it to work?
