Just wondering if anyone has had a roommate of the opposite sex (random, not bf/gf or friends) My roommate is a girl next year so i thought It'd be fun to hear some horror stories or happy stories! ;)

I've always wondered how that works out. It seems like it would be sorta uncomfortable because girls are usually modest around guys (like I have to be dressed (no PJs) and have my hair and makeup done).

Is that even possible? I mean, to have an opposite sex roommate at college?

How does one obtain a transfer application?

@ Tsenguun
Penn allows people to have co-ed roommates after freshman year, i believe...

I'm going to be a junior living off campus

Oh so you won't be sharing a room? I know a guy that had a girl housemate, and he had no problems (other than her drug use). If you aren't sharing a bed or a small room, then it shouldn't be a big deal (as long as you don't like her and get jealous when she brings guys over).

I live on campus. I have girls living next door on opposite side of my hallway. They often come to our guy's suite and its nice.

For the last three years of college I've lived off campus and always had both girls and guys in my house. No problem. I'm a girl and don't care if a guy is walking around in boxers or whatever. Usually girls are cleaner/neater than guys, and more likely to cook. You may be getting a good deal if the girl wants to make dinner, clean up more, etc. But, roommates definitely appreciate when you pick up after yourself!
