Coeducational?

When is it gonna happen? I really like Wellesley because it has amazing academics, an outstanding campus, and a great location. I mean, it's just ridiculous that i cant go there!!!

Also, the college books say it's 97% female and 3% male. Is this because of men? Or transgenders?

if you like it so much, go to babson or mit or ct college or any one of the 12 schools they do exchanges with and do a year at wellesley

i dont want a year. i want FOUR years.

Go to MIT/Harvard/Babson/Olin and date a Wellesley girl?

i’m gay. any other ideas?

Give it up. Wellesley’s not going co-ed for a while. I’m convinced more and more of that the longer that I spend there. There are plenty of schools that have other good opportunites in the area and not in the area. It’s unfortunate that you have your heart set on Wellesley, but you can’t go there…

Wellesley’s mission statement/educational philosophy is specifically based around educating young women, which is why I’m pretty surprised you’re so attracted to it. I personally find it hard to extricate the Wellesley’s single-sex philosophy from it’s all-around philosophy. Also, from what I’ve read, Wellesley takes a lot of pride in being an all-women’s college, and would regard going co-ed as betraying the school’s integrity. But regardless, falling in love with a school you can’t go to completely sucks. I guess I would try to think of what specific aspects of Wellesley you like and then try to find schools that match it-- and remember there is more than one college for everyone!

the 3% male may be due to cross-registered students.

Yeahhhh if you want to get into Wellesley you’re definitely going to have to give up something pretty important…
