<p>Ok, so at Brown I tried the coffee at the Ratty and it was rancid. Just terrible coffee. I don’t have the money to get Starbucks (or other commercial coffee) every day, and not drinking coffee is somewhat out of the question. So, I’m considering getting a small coffee machine and bringing it with me. Are there any cons to this that anyone can think of?</p>

<p>I recommend a French press. On top of being nice and quiet, they bring the full flavor out of coffee.</p>

<p>Amor: french press sounds good, but don't you have to heat the water before putting it in? Please correct me if I'm wrong. It is much quieter though. I'll definitely look into it. I could always heat water in a microwave, but that would defeat the noiselessness of it.</p>

<p>I have this little portable coffee maker in my room, and I plan to take it to college. It's nothing fancy, but it does the job. I need my fix!</p>
<p>Yeah, the fix is essential. It's not even necessarily in the morning, but I enjoy having something warm to drink while doing work. Of course, tea does that too, but somehow it's not as satisfying.</p>

<p>I saw a coffee vending machine in Faunce...it looked decent....as well as a pizza vending machine, which I hear is pretty awful.</p>
