they say no, but you can probably get away with it. if you are caught however they may make you throw it away… also depends on your RA… 2nd semester i switched rooms (from STW to 153 Hemenway) and my new roommate not only had a convection oven, but a steamer as well as other cooking paraphernalia

your only other alternative would be to microwave water to get it to boil which, to me, usually doesnt work so well

if you are looking for coffee however, the dining halls have a nice selection and provide take out cups so you can always grab 2 cups there, store one in your fridge (if you get one) and then reheat it when you want it later

Eh, I had one freshman year. They technically aren’t allowed so it’s kind of up to you if you want to risk it. If they saw it, they’d probably just tell you to get rid of it.

you could always hide it and use it when you wanted a cup of coffee then hide it again

If you live in stetson then there is almost no need to bring in a coffee maker just go downstairs and get coffee. I stop by au bon pain or dunkins every morning for a small cup of black coffee.

I am using [Chemex Coffee Maker](http://www.espresso-machines-and-coffee-makers.com/chemex-coffee-makers.html), The flavor is great, While I had it I thought it was fantastic and was very happy with the coffee it made. The only issue that I found bothersome was keeping the coffee hot after making it, I ended up using an old thermal pot in conjunction with the Chemex to make things convienient.
