I took COGS 14 last quarter and from what I've summarized it was just a statistics class that emphasized more on methodology of experiments than probability. Should I take Math 11 this spring quarter since a lot of what I just learned is still fresh in my mind (it's for my major so I have to take it anyways)? I'm already taking 17 other units and I don't think stats is especially hard, but I'm just concerned this will be an unnecessary burden if I can take it another time. It would definitely be a class which I'd probably skip a lot if there are a lot of similarities with COGS 14. Is it worth it?

Math11 is more probability theory. If you're not too into statistics, skip it--it'll be deceptively hard.

from what i can tell, you’re a cog sci major, and if you’re going after that B.S. degree, you’re going to have to take math 11…or some other crap probability class in the comp sci dept or some other type of “discrete mathematics.” yuck =(
