<p>This is a question that could be answered in only one sentence. Do they also want us to include why we want to attend Colgate?</p>
<p>I think there are other areas that you can answer “why.” We just answered the question.</p>
<p>Since your limited to 500 characters and it is really the only section to talk about “why Colgate” I mixed it together, stating how I was first introduced to the institution and why I like it :)</p>
<p>Be honest but upbeat, ie. how you heard about Colgate, but in a positive way which suggests you would like to go there. And be brief. I imagine the question is there much less for admissions purposes than for their finding out how people heard about Colgate. Kind of like a consumer survey. So don’t sweat it.</p>
