Anyone started that essay “What is one thing you would bring with you to Colgate?” I’m at a loss…

I am going to bring some "Crest" toothpaste...

;)

I was a bit confused whether they wanted to say what item you would bring to Colgate with you, or what quality you would bring to Colgate with you.

Eventually I decided it was intentionally ambiguous.

However, I decided not to apply, so I'm not worrying about that anymore :X Good luck with that!

Thanks, guy...anyone else?

Just sit for like a half and hour, and pretend you are getting ready to pack your stuff for college. What will you be bringing with you (or if you're going for the abstract, how to you hope to act/how do you hope to meet new people)? Just be honest. When you find that one thing you're going to bring, write a sincere answer. Perhaps you are stuck on this question because you think "it" needs to be something creative. Just think about simple things first. Then I bet you will find the words to write. This essay is just another way for you to show something about you. It's not to show off, but to show and tell. Try not to think too hard, or else you may not find your best answer. ust be yourself. Find something that can tell a story about you, whether it be an item or just one of your quirks--if you have any!

i said i would bring texan pride....because i have a feeling im one of maybe 3 kids from texas appling ED

Thanks for all the replies. Plena, great idea, i'm gonna try it tomorrow!

You were right- a rep. from Colgate told me that the prompt is ambiguous for a reason. Be creative
