Colgate, JHU or Amherst...difficulty of admissions

Which is hardest to get in ED? RD?

also which school is best for neuroscience?

thanks everyone

Amherst is definitely the most difficult to get into both ED and RD of the three. JHU is more self-selecting than Colgate, so it may slightly have more accomplished students (more on the SAT side than on the grade side), but also has a higher acceptance rate than Colgate.

I don't know if there's really such a thing as which is best for neuoroscience. Doing well at any three schools will afford you the same opportunities going forward. Go to the schools and talk to the professors and see what feels best to you. This isn't really the type of question that others can answer for you.

jhu may be a fit school 4 u

Neuroscience --> JHU.

Most Selective --> Amherst

Although I agree with most of what has been said here...there are 3 things that I think are important:

Colgate has one of the oldest neuroscience programs in the country

Colgate allows almost every student to do undergrad research

Psychology is taugh as a natural science - not a social science - at Colgate thus allowing more opportunities for the disciplines studied and researched within neuroscience.

They are all great schools, and of course I am biased, but I think Colgate's science programs are worth evaluating.
