I'm applying rd and visited bucknell and colgate. Academically I loved both schools- academics are really important to me. And socially I love to have a good time and school spirits definitely a plus. However at the same time I'm pretty liberal, laid back and really into music indie and classic rock. I want to meet people I can genuinely connect with not just on a superficial Greek level. Which would be better for a more diverse and intellectual student body where I could go to a football game but also an open mic night or a Buddhist chant circle? Or are neither good places for this

I think Colgate would be great for this, though I can’t speak for Bucknell. WRCU is Colgate’s radio station ([| wrcu 90.1 fm | main |](http://www.wrcufm.com/)) and a great way to develop and share your interest in music with like-minded people. Also if SCOPE is still around they were the group that brought bands to campus. There’s a wide variety of cultural and religious events on campus, music at the Barge coffee shop in town, etc.

Hamilton might not have quite the same activities as, say, NYU, but there was always a lot of different stuff going on.

thank you for your detailed response! i appreciate it a lot. that sounds really nice(:
