Colgate vs Harvey Mudd

Hi. I am an international student accepted at both.
All HMC threads talk about academics, and people studying; while Colgate threads tell about parties, social life, sports, etc.
Am I getting the right picture, here?
Comments welcome. Thanks

In reference to Harvey Mudd, pretty much, Princeton Review always has them in the Top 20 for "Their Students Never Stop Studying," however the teachers I hear are one of the most involved and inspiring colleges have to offer.

yea id say youre getting a pretty good picture...no doubt Colgate is strong academically but not so much compared to HM in terms of the sciences/mathematics

As I said in another thread with this question, pick HMC for core math/sci. with pathetic humanities/finanical aid. If that sounds good, you should be booking a plane ticket to southern California. Otherwise, go to Colgate.

My financial aid is very similar in both. So it is not a factor, and about the humanities, I have heard you can take courses in the other claremont colleges. what I am not sure is if I can take courses in them if I have Financial aid at HMC.

Thank you for posting, yea you should find this post in other categories, I posted it in very many.

Mafp, you can take classes off-campus and I'm pretty sure they don't cost you anything. There are some exceptions: private music lessons and similar things.
