What appliances are allowed in dorms? Can I have an electric kettle?

How much room is under the beds? Because I want to buy drawers for under the bed.

It’s easier to say what’s NOT allowed, haha. I think you can get away with an electric kettle. They just don’t want you to use an electric stove or anything that can burn the place down.

You can have your beds adjusted, but you can fit something that’s about 3ft or a little more in height. I’m not sure how much clothes you’re planning on bringing, but you can probably just see if the dorm’s drawers/pole can hold most of your clothes (bring bins to bring extra clothes).

Yeah I figured no open elements. I mostly want to use under the bed for stuff storage as opposed to clothes which i don’t have not too many of. lol but thank you :)

I’ve seen many people have electric hot water heaters in their dorms. Although electric toasters are not allowed, you can hide them easily if someone ever checks your room. You will have enough room underneath your bed for something about 2-3ft high, it depends on how your bed was setup. If it’s really low like some I’ve seen, then you can’t fit much other than a 1ft high plastic container. Mine on the other hand had about 3ft of space.

Which room are you in next year?

I’m in building 5 floor 1 by the way…

so the double beds in college ten can fit stuff up to 3 feet high?

what about something like a George Foreman Grill?

Open heating source so nope. Not allowed.
