Lillybell:

There is an abbreviation thread a little down below. It explains all those abbreviations and more than you can possibly use. Enjoy!

OH MY GOD!!! Wild Child is going to PENN!!!! It's all over. This was the most terrible day of waiting. My son will be running for the Quakers. I am so excited, and he is absolutely thrilled. Now he doesn't have to do 4 applications tomorrow. I'm sad to say goodbye to Indiana and Georgia, but this is a dream come true.

Another big congrats! Somehow I always figured that Wildchild was going to get into his unnamed dream school. Glad it all worked out.

Congratulations to MomofWildChild's son!!!! He must not be that much of a WildChild after all!!

I hereby volunteer to be the CC expert on how to handle the explanation of suspensions/expulsions.

MoWC:

Congrats! I agree with Quiltguru: he cannot be so wild, after all.

MomofWildChild, congratulations to you and your son.

Hearty congrats to all for the wonderful news, and it is only the start!
To Audiophile and MoWC in particular, a warm welcome to the PoQ's!

Oh yes. We are supposed to celebrate here. Go Wild Child! and his mom!

Oh, good news MOWC! A big congratulations to the Wild Child!

Thrilled for your S, MOWC. Joyful news, although Indiana and Georgia are also great college towns. Savor every moment and thanks for sharing his happiness with us.

To MOWC, from the mother of two wild children, congratulations!

MoWC, congrats to you and the Wild Child on his acceptance to Penn

Audiophile, Congrats on your daughter's acceptance to Penn

Congratulations MOWC!!! I specifically logged on last night hoping to see your post about WC, but I guess you took a while to celebrate and didn't post until later in the evening. So glad to see the happy news this morning!

Wow, to Penn ed's mowc and audiophile, and all the other great acceptances. Good job, everybody.

mowc - great news! CONGRATULATIONS on the Penn ED! know you and he both must be so excited:)

Congratulations again to all, especially MomofWildChild, audiophile, and katwkittens. I have enjoyed reading the ups and downs of your journeys over the past year or so and am so happy for everyone.

Thank you all so much. The experience, strength and hope on these boards is what got me through this. I am thrilled for all of you and your kids who have coveted acceptances, and am pulling for those still waiting.
I want to share something interesting that my very accomplished daughter said last night. She is a junior at Rice (vocal performance), and went through a difficult admissions process herself which involved audition trips all over the country. She said that the college admissions process is STILL discussed among her peers. She said it is about the most stressful and important experience of their lives up to this point.
