Congrats to Curmudgeon's special D!!

Congrats Curmudgeon and SplashMom, and good thoughts for the next letter! Keeping my eye on Centre and Elon for next year, and I like what I've seen so far on the acceptances thread. Went to an Elon hospitality event last night and, wonder of wonders, he still has interest AFTER the event (doesn't sound like much, but it's a first LOL).

Re Scripps, hope Mudgerella handles pressure well. Good luck to her and her team.

Oh, curmudgeon, I'm so happy to see the news that she got her letter today, too! YAY! We have been at a Hendrix reception this evening, so I'm just getting home to check the board. I pm'd you before I saw your "acceptance" post.

Momofthree, when I saw your name, I was hoping that it was news about your DS. Please keep us updated. I'm thinking of him.

Iderochi, definitely keep Centre on the target. It's a great school. I've heard good things about Elon, as well.

Ah, curmudgeon, the $$ talk. DD and I talked again tonight on the way home. She's so torn. She loves Hendrix and Centre and said in the end, it will all come down to money. Realistically, she knows she will have some debt when she graduates college, but she'd like to go in to law school owing as little as possible. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of our CC kids that they get great scholarship opportunities!

CURMUDGEON: if you are in So Cal, we must MEET!! Doing the happy dance for your D!!!!

SPLASHMOM: Bravo!

Please; if there is a SoCal get-together, include me

Congrats for Splash! Her acceptance rate was 100%!!!! All she has to do is choose! :D Mudgette has the same percentage so far, but she's still running in the race. Trust Curmudgeon to find the "Select All" button on the Common App webpage! ;)

However, now I'm really anxious. I've been worried since the beginning of this long process that Doddsson would get into good colleges that he likes, but we couldn't afford it for him. Hopefully we'll know next week

"Trust Curmudgeon to find the "Select All" button on the Common App webpage!"

LOL!

Me, too doddsdad. Me, too.

Congrats on the Centre acceptance guys. And good luck in the merit race too.

And, as to doddsdad, curmudgeon, Splash and all others who are on $$pins and needles$$ - I am so hoping we won't have to Take Up A Collection ;). But I wouldn't rule it out. :D

For daughter: University of Cincinnati School of Design, Art, Archtecture and Planning for Digital Design Major.

YEAH!!!! Congratulations Taxguy

Saint Joseph's college- West Hartford!

Taxguy, Congratulations to you and your daughter! I know it was a long wait for this one!!

Gotta love it. The taxguy has a D who must be wildly creative. Congratulations!

awesome taxguy -- but, like alumother, I note the irony: Right-brained D of left-brained dad....hmmmm, what side of the gene pool predominated in this one? LOL

cur: also awsome news --

congrats to others: May Michael Douglas' Wall Street role be partially reprised when the colleges Show YOU the Money!

Congrats to all! The list of acceptances is amazing.

Well, it is digital design :p.

Congrats to all the new acceptances and I'm taking note of the many service academy acceptances which seem to be rolling in now. Good work!
