My admission for UC Santa Cruz was canceled because I missed the transcript deadline. I called the admissions office the morning of the deadline and left a message. They called me back saying that I have to send in the official transcript of the class I took in community college last summer. I told her that my class and grade are on my high school transcript (which got there in time), but she said that they needed a transcript from the college. My mom drove me to the community college, where I got the transcript, and then drove to the university, which is 2 hours from where I live. I called the woman that called me back and she told me to go to another office where they may accept transcripts. When I went there, they told me to go to another office in another part of campus. When I got there, it was 5:22, and the deadline was 5:00. Do I have a good case to appeal? I would love your feedback.
I already dropped it off when I went there. The office was closed, and the doors were locked, but there was a window open and I handed it in to the man inside. He said that the transcript was late and that it would be counted as turned in the day after.
I doubt they will rescind you now that they have the transcript. If they do then write an appeal based on all the different locations you were told to go to. If you can write notes now with the locations so it’s a cogent story.
