college admission for international students

Hello!
To begin with, I am a greek student at physics department. You are probably not familiar with the greek educational system. All I have to say is that I just happened to study Physics. It’s nothing close to what I want to become. I want to be a doctor. I am at my second year in university and I would like to apply in an american college, since I am not ready to go again through the Panhellenics exams(the only way to get into a university, here,in Greece)Wherever, I asked about colleges, people didn’t know or just made me even more confused.
I would like to know the exact way I have to apply for a college and also if there are any ideas about colleges that are not too expensive for foreigners. I think I tried too hard to convience myself that physics is good for me but I really can’t take it anymore. If someone can help, I would be thankful.

Thanks in advance,
Tonia

Well I really dont know if any college would allow you to transfer from a physics major to Bio/Medical major....

^ They will, I think, and they will give you transfer credits for the courses you've taken in Greece.

Are you aware that you have to do four years of "pre-med" before going to medical school in the US? Also, international students are strongly discouraged not to apply to medical school in the US (it's not impossible, though). What kind of a college are you looking at? It's not easy to recommend colleges if you just want to go to the US, you have to give us more details.

So, why exactly did you select Physics in the first place ??
