College Admission regarding to extracurricular

okay I'm currently a Senior. I have this issue whether I've been in Beta Club for one or two years. During my junior year, I joined Beta Club. At first, I attended three meetings and paid 20 dollars to join the club. After the three meetings, I didn't really get involved anymore because I had so much other things to do. The club still had my name on it and my brother marked me present in all of the meetings even though I wasn't there(yea, I know that's stupid) but my name was still in the club. At the induction ceremony, my name was called but I was never there because I had other stuff to do. I know I'll be joining and trying to participate for my senior year. So, would I put one or two years in my college application for Beta Club? If it was considered two years, would it affect my college admission if I put one year? How would colleges know what clubs you were in?

“So, would I put one or two years in my college application for Beta Club?”

Whatever is most honest to you.

"If it was considered two years, would it affect my college admission if I put one year? "

No, not in the slightest. That’s why you should be honest.

"How would colleges know what clubs you were in? "

They don’t. That’s why quibbling over something that won’t have a single iota of effect is worthless. Someone could write FOUR year and it’d have the same effect – basically none.
