College Admissions question...

I am currently a sophomore in high school. My SAT score is around a 1570, and I expect to be a National Merit Semifinalist this upcoming fall. My GPA is about a 3.94, and my class rank falls withing the top 3% of my class. I want to apply as a Quantitative Economics major, or a Mathematical Economics major. I currently am interested in U Illinois Urbana Champaign, UPenn, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, and UChicago. I am enrolled in a selective conomics camp for this summer, and I plan on starting an economics club at my school once school is back in session. What other EC’s should I do that will help me learn more about this field, while also helping my college application?

Any EC that you enjoy and that you can make a meaningful impact doing are fine.

Use your skills for the greater good.

I haven’t been able to find any opportunities that align with my major as of yet, do you have any suggestions?
