College Admissions Statistics Class of 2021: Early and Regular Decision Acceptance Rates

@spayurpets the info for the Claremont Colleges is up now; website for The Student Life is working. http://tsl.news/news/6726/, My quick calculations are:

Pomona ED 187/891=21%, RD 554/8155=6.8%

CMC ED 207/667=31%, RD 450/5683=7.9%

HMC ED 81/503=16.1%, RD 485/3575=13.6%

Kudos to HMC for limiting the ED admissions in recognition that its ED pool lacks diversity.

Exact numbers weren’t given for the ED pools for Pitzer and Scripps.

Pitzer 584/3753 for overall rate of 15.56% – ED rate reported as 34.4%
Scripps 949/2841 for overall rate of 33.4% – ED rate reported as 38%

Any news about CalTech??

Is Hamilton ED / RD ever broken out? Overall, applications increased 8.6%, 5678 as compared to 5230 in 2016.

Hamilton College usually provides the break out information in their class profile, but this doesn’t come out until much later, maybe even as late as the fall. Last year’s data for Hamilton can be found in last year’s discussion here:
http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/20241054/#Comment_20241054

Assuming an increase of 440 applications, the acceptance rate is just above 20%. Interesting when comparing to Bates which is similar and Colby which is much lower given no supplemental essay or fee. At my DD’s HS which consistently sends students to Bates, Colby and Hamilton, the historical acceptance rate at Hamilton is the lowest - not drawing any conclusions as I can’t determine any correlation at this time.

What about Yale’s ED?

Where is colgate? University of Montana?

@21stCenturyNatHaw. Yale does not have ED…

Why not look at colgate.edu and find out?

Go 'gate!

Thanks so much, @spayurpets!

Any way of knowing the admit rate to BC’s Honors Program?

I don’t know a number, but I think the BC honors program is hard to get and even harder to get after you matriculate. My daughter, who is at BC, was given four years housing which I think means she was in the top 10% or so and she did not get in honors.

Thanks. We have a friend who got into the Honors Program and I’m trying to tell her that it was a strong achievement.

Any stats for Lafayette?

@tintininamerica I don’t think that BC publishes an acceptance rate for the Honours programmes (there is no separate application), but I think I read on my daughter’s acceptance letter for MCAS Honours that the MCAS Honours is offered to the top 5% of MCAS applicants, but it is lower for CSOM, I think around the top 3%.
