College Admissions Statistics Class of 2021: Early and Regular Decision Acceptance Rates

@a20171 I know of a student that was in your exact spot…applied to Villanova as his safety after not getting in to BC and Georgetown…he had a strong freshman year and transferred to Georgetown and is much happier. Good luck to you!!!

@a20171 I realize you said ND and Georgetown…you can research transfer stats to schools. I think ND has a higher acceptance rate for transfers, but I know they all accept some transfers. Make sure you check out the housing options for transfers, especially at ND where so much of the social life revolves around dorm life. I think you can get housing just make sure you figure that all out.

@collegemomjam I’m looking into georgetown I would need to get my GPA up a little first I’m at a 3.65 and I feel like I need at least a 3.75 to be competitive. Notre Dame’s first year curriculum doesn’t match up with Villanova’s so I’m not sure they would accept me (I didn’t take science, it’s for Sophomores in liberal arts).

I got into BC but I “drank the kool aid” as some kids here refer to it. The community, school spirit blah blah blah

@a20171 My twin nieces had a similar experience to you (Class of 2007). They were waitlisted by ND and BC (but did not apply to GU as they went to high school in Georgetown, DC) although they did get off the BC waitlist (but turned down BC as they were insulted to have been waitlisted in the first place!). They ended up at 'Nova, majored in Math and both graduated either cum laude or magna cum laude. They ended up getting virtually no help from VU career services and took each of them nearly one year to find a job. They felt that career services seemed to favour the Business School students despite the fact that they were looking at going into Finance and math is a very relevant major for that. When they speak about Nova now, they look back fondly on the social aspects of their time there and the Big East basketball games but feel that the Arts and Science School and particularly the math dept are not as strong as the business school.

@spayurpets Time to start 2022 thread?

Good point @bronze2 Lots of EA’s are coming out this week…it’s all about to start again.

@spayurpets

Your thread last year was absolutely phenomenal. Are you doing it for the Class of 2022?

Agreed…would be great to have this again this year. Thanks for all of your hard work!!

@dreamcatcher3 @collegemomjam It looks like spayurpets has not been around here in months.
