Thanks @Penn95. I’d recommend using the value from the linked Daily Pennsylvanian article unless/until it is officially updated.

Georgetown EA is 12%

Princeton 14.7% SCEA
https://www.princeton.edu/news/2017/12/13/princeton-offers-early-action-admission-799-students-class-2022

Northwestern https://dailynorthwestern.com/2017/12/05/campus/early-decision-applications-increase-6-percent-year Accepting “about” half the incoming class of 1925, 962/4058 = 23.7%

A site called Admissions Intel claims that 1073 are being accepted ED for a rate of 26%.

Anybody hear anything about the EA acceptance rate/stats for Caltech?

With more applicants, schools are either filling the class earlier with EA/ED or bringing the admit rate down, and in many cases they are doing both!

This year’s Early Action applicant pool grew once again, up 7% from last year; this is a strong testament both to the Georgetown brand and the increasing popularity of Early Action. The Georgetown College applicant pool grew by 8%, the School of Foreign Service by 6%, and the School of Nursing and Health Studies by 24%; the McDonough School of Business applicant pool remained similar to last year. Given that our Regular Decision pool typically mirrors trends seen at Early Action, we anticipate an increase in total applications come January as well.

The Early Action pool continued to reflect Georgetown’s commitment to enrolling a diverse class. This year’s pool was 10% Black/African-American, 11% Hispanic/Latino, 15% Asian-American, 7% International, and 1% Native American.

The academic quality of the pool was as strong as ever, making admissions committee decisions immensely difficult. We admitted 12% (1,002) of the 8,383 applicants. Students were admitted from 49 of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 39 foreign countries. Admitted students were, on average, in the top 2% of their class. The SAT Verbal middle-50% range for admitted students was 710-770, and the SAT Math middle-50% range was 720-790. The ACT has become increasingly popular, with more than half of our applicant pool taking the ACT. The ACT middle-50% range for admitted students was 32-35.

Here is some info on Rice’s early decision numbers. Early decision applications are up 19.5 percent. http://news.rice.edu/2017/12/18/rice-admits-first-students-of-class-of-2022-through-early-decision-program/

Anyone have WUSTL numbers?

Is it possible to add the % of the freshman class that was filled through Early Decision?

@ Eck101 we can get a sense of the % of freshman class being filled from ED, based on the Enrollment of the 2021 class given below.

Note that with changes in Yale (larger class), Chicago (new EA/ED1/ED2), there can be some movements from year to year. For obvious reasons, I have kept EA and ED schools separate.

Figures are given in the format “Acceptances / Applications” for the class of 2022 followed by the class of 2021, with enrollment E for the class of 2021.

MIT EA. 2022: 664 / 9557 (6.9%). 2021: 657 / 8413 (7.8%). E 1102
Stanford EA. 2022: ___ / ____ (___%). 2021: 721 / 7822 (9.2%). E 1708
Georgetown EA. 2022: 1002 / 8383 (12.0%). 2021: 931 / 7822 (11.9%). E 1574
