College Admissions Statistics Class of 2023

Holy Cross 2400 admits from 7198 applicants. 33.3% acceptance rate

@Wisteria100, where did you get those stats? Just curious, not disputing.

Carnegie Mellon - 4,267 admits from 27,634 applicants (15.4% admit rate). Class size 1,585.
(from one of the CMU Convocation 2019 speeches)

I wonder what the rate was for SCS. For CMU, the rate by school is the most important.

@Rivet2000 Agree. They used to (maybe still do) publish rate by college on their flyers in the admissions office. Back in 2014 or so, SCS was about 5%. And of course music/drama require auditions.

Here - they still do it. https://admission.enrollment.cmu.edu/pages/undergraduate-admission-statistics

Has anyone seen Class of 2023 numbers for Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Skidmore or Stanford yet?

@xhaavic My D attends and those numbers were in an email sent to parents. Don’t think they are up on their website yet.

Latest numbers for Class of 2023 - Admits, Applied, Enrolled - which include waitlist admits.
Schools with an admit rate below 25% are listed below (Cooper Union and Olin have not released numbers so I have omitted them).
Estimates are notated with an “e” following a number. Typically, the estimates are due to having only a percentage figure being released, or due to the school not providing an update since April to include waitlist admits.

@bronze2 Not to be stupid, but which school is CMC?

Thank you for posting this. You’re always so helpful.

Claremont McKenna College

Emory’s yield is 13%?

I calculate 30% - appears to include Oxford and Decatur campuses. http://opb.emory.edu/documents/data/Emory-Common-Data-Set-2018-2019.pdf

Acceptance rate 15%.

@bronze2 where did you get numbers for Emory (Decatur) vs Emory (Oxford)?

@Greymeer appears to have calculated the yield for Emory–Oxford as it appears in reply #587.

@merc81 I just wonder where it came from as Emory CDS doesn’t break them out separately as far as I can see.

Oh. Emory “oxford”. missed the Oxford part.

@OHMomof2 - They break it down on their website.

Thanks @elena13 - I see it now.
