College admissions with a GED and high ACT score

I hate high school. I don’t know if it is from past trauma experienced in school, my hate for the social system at this age, or the fact that I feel like I’m wasting my time memorizing trivial facts for tests than forgetting them a couple weeks after the test. I’ve always done well in school and have never had to study. As a sophomore I took the ACT, mainly for practice. I received a score of 28, getting 30s or 31s on everything besides math (math is my best subject, but it was the first on the test and I got no sleep the night before.) I feel as if I were to study and actually get adequate sleep that I would be able to get at least a 32 on the ACT. This leads me to the part where I say I want to drop out and just get my GED. Would any colleges take me seriously with a GED and a high ACT score, or would they believe that I have no work ethic? I’m in my school’s IB diploma program and have no trouble with the amount of work I have, but I know what the stereotype is for a high school dropout. Any help would be appreciated… I’m sure some other people may feel the same as I do in this situation and would also appreciate a response.
