College Algebra Replacing Algebra 2?

<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>To get ahead and take Pre-calculus my sophomore year, I am taking college algebra over the summer at a local community college. Taking Algebra 2 over the summer wasn't possible as I didn't have any options and my's school math head approved of me taking college algebra. In you guys' opinion, do you think college algebra is fine replacement for algebra or should I still self-study algebra 2 on my own?</p>

<p>At my school, College Algebra is basically Honors Algebra 2 for people who completed regular Algebra 2 if they don’t want to take pre-calculus for whatever reason. It should be fine preparation.</p>
