So, finally I submitted my ED app (Yay...now months of worrying and even more college apps), and this week I've been focused so much on that so I haven't been up to date on my hw, and now, I have like 46654651465 tests tomorrow since the quarter is ending soon.

Great. I love life. so much.

Tonight, I will be up forever learning two weeks worth of math material and reading a gazillion psych pages. woooo.

Dude, I totally agree with you. My school admin. is SO ■■■■■■■■ though. I’ve been ditching school to work on college apps and science research, but the ■■■■■■■■ attendance person is giving me Saturday School for 20 unexcused absences. wow. I just want to be like…I’m rank 1. I still got straight A’s even though I don’t go to school. Pretty much proves how useless this high school is. I’m going to college anyways. Suck on that. Ugh.

And because of this, I can’t concentrate on writing/editing EA essays. wow. Fuc my school.

ahhhh samee. I’ve missed quite a bit of school lately (one because I did have swine but our school was shut down anyways) and for finishing college apps.

Since ED/EA is due this week, I know a lot of people who are not coming tomorrow or on Friday. I wish I could. I missed Monday because I was sort of sick and I had a midterm in my college multivariable class. I planned to write essays that day, but I was sicker than I thought I was. So my parents won’t let me miss another day this week, especially because I missed like 3 days before. I’m just sort of planning to not sleep for a few days.
I take my iPod touch to school and I type essays on that during my study hall/student helper period. It helps.

I’m a bit baffled that people are skipping school to do college apps. I mean, most of them come in around July or August. Therefore, if you do a little bit of each every day, then there should really be no problem.

I’m just wondering what the rationale is for this…

Seriously? A college app shouldn’t take more than a Saturday of sitting at the common app website… then you just gotta wait for your recs and boom.
Or at least that’ll be for me cause all my schools are common app.

LOL. well, I certainly do wish it was a “boom” type of process.
But really, it is not.

I definitely started over the summer, but for some reason, it seems like no matter how much u do then, it still piles up even to the last minute. I am also applying to quite a few schools (my choice entirely, I am aware), but it’s not a stress-free process considering the next for years of your life depend on a few forms and pieces of writing.

You have to be SO careful. It’s easy to screw up, and staying organized is the key - which can take some time to develop.

I think what most contributes to all the stress, is just “stress” about the future in it self (does for me at least), and add that with five other aps, studying, scholarship-hunting, strenuous ECs, and a job. Voila. You’ve got a crazy, stressed out sleep deprieved senior!

Fortunately, today, I am having a rather relaxing day =) Not very much hw due to the gazilion tests today sooo i just woke up from a beautiful two hour nap. Life is good right now.

I’d imagine the waiting period to be more stressful than the actual applying process. It’s really not that hard to go online and apply… it’s an pretty easy process, actually. People are stressing their selves wayyy too much.

By the way, if the school does rolling admission, it IS a good idea to apply as soon as you can.

Relax everyone! And I don’t understand people applying to more than 5 colleges. That’s just ridiculous. You are only one person, and you can only attend one! 1 college should be a reach, 2 should be matches, and the last 2 should be a safety, and that’s more than enough! I recall some kid mention about applying to 30 colleges, and that left me dumbfounded. People put unnecessary stress on themselves.
