MTCA does mock auditions in San Diego, California in December usually. We live in LA so this was only a two hour drive for us.

We did a lot of prep in many different ways, our son has some great offers to choose from and some we have yet to hear from but one thing we learned a bit too late is that there are quite a few schools that are not officially part of Unifieds but in the same place or close by on or about the same time. Heard yesterday Julliard was in Chicago a couple of days before Unifieds started, USC, Syracuse, and Carnegie Mellon (which he did audition for) all there at same time but not part of Unifieds.
There is a whole group of schools that aren’t part of Unifieds, but hold auditions at the same time and in the same cities. Always check the school’s website to find out.
