In the US the corruption, graft and cheating on the SATs and TOEFL have been obvious for decades. Have you noticed the number of International students who can’t speak English beyond “Hello” but gain entry to our state universities. Come visit SUNY! And do you think the cheating stops once they land a seat in an American university? Among some groups of International students, finding ways to cheat and beat systems is their most time consuming group activity.
correction: should read "In the US the cheating (including graft and corruption) on the SATs and TOFL by international students from certain countries has been obvious for decades.

While I am an honest test taker, I defend the fact that more Chinese test takers cheat on SAT (being Chinese myself). We, Chinese, all cheat on daily bases, from college admissions and standardized tests to jobs, government officials, courts, laws, sports. While recognizing many more honest, hard working Chinese, no one can challenge this fact because we, Chinese, are infamous for frauds.
The importance here is that we all should understand the triviality of SAT and ACT comparing to our future lives. Find your interest and pursue it, life gets better. I laugh at those who spend efforts trying to cheat over tests, after all, they are hurting themselves.
Whether or not law enforcements find them (cheaters) in the future, let’s have a positive attitude and know that CB is just a “mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity” and shouldn’t be taken with personality
Interesting, albeit honest answer!
@testvigilante the PSAT is not an accurate prediction of your SAT scores. I only got a 194 (10th grade) and 198 (11th grade) on my PSAT, which in theory would translate to a 1980, but I ended up getting a 2190 on the SAT because I worked hard. The PSAT doesnt prove anything at all, unles you went from a 150 to a 2400.
honestly, cheating is and has been prevalent in asia and thinking that we can change that is idealistic where im from (im asian), kids frequently bribe their proctors so that they can get good marks on exams. im really sorry that it’s putting the honest kids at such a disadvantage, but that’s just how it is. if it’s any consolation, college board reviews kids whose scores improve by 250 points or more from one sitting to another. so maybe SOME of those kids’ scores will end up getting called into question, under that rule ?
