College Board practice tests vs recent SAT's

which are harder? people have told me the real SAT's now are easier than the college board practice tests. What do you guys think?

Also for a first time test taker any hints you guys have for me? For example, on a a fill in the blank vocab question at what time do you guess and when do you skip it, i also struggle with the writing section for some reason. Does anyone know tricks to that part?

Btw im probably really dumb compared to this board. on the practice SAT I got a 1800, thats why im hoping its harder than the real one. This is factoring in an 8 essay score as well. Also, i have never had lessons and just started studying this summer.

CB Blue Book was excellent preparation! Though the ranges on the later tests - the non administered ones - are fairly frustrating (my scores ranged by 200 points…). The real test is a similar level. Therefore it is perfect for the getting one’s timing up to scratch. Furthermore, the CR section has been notoriously hard to recreate so it is well worth practicing via the Blue Book.
