Maybe I'm strange, but I found the SAT testing process to be okay. I'm not saying that I enjoyed it, but knowing that millions of other students are going through the same thing sort of made a difference. Also, I found the College Board to be relatively easy to work with, as far as navigating the website, practice SAT questions (they offer a full length practice test), viewing/sending scores, etc. Does anybody else share this sentiment, or do you completely disagree?

C'mon someone...

I have to research information on the college board, and I was hoping to get some feedback here!!

I think as far as college board is concerned it went well and was orchestrated nicely, however, i know that many people (myself included) were unhappy with the proctors. For instance, in my class three separate people had their cell phones go off and the proctor found the strength to lift his eyes from his novel to see what was going on (only to return reading without saying anything at all). Additionally, one girl was caught (fitting diction choice) working on other sections of the test yet nothing happened.
i suppose that collegeboard does the best they can to handle that matter but it seems that with each test i take, the conditions are different and the proctors feel that they have the authority to choose what is important to read us and what is not. I think collegeboard should implement a black and white type of code: if you are caught cheating (cell phone going off etc - i mean come on if you're dumb enough to let that happen then you deserve the consequences) then you should be dismissed. To enforce this, i think that collegeboard should have every student comment on their proctor so that the power of authority is not placed on the proctor. Anyhow, in general i feel that collegeboard has a great website setup and all that jazz but they need to work on uniforming their test taking conditions.

I had a very bad experience with College Board with respect to my May SATs. I did not get the scores on May 23 like most people. I checked multiple times a day for weeks, until a Certified Mail letter arrived at my house saying there was a problem with my ID. This accusation was, of course, completely absurd, as I had no trouble with ID. I called CB up, and they said I had 2 different names on my ID and my ticket. This was even more ridiculous. CB required me to send a copy of an ID with a signature on it, which I did not have, so I had to go and get a learner's permit. After I sent it in, CB then had to send for my test from their other location (why they didn't do that before I have no idea). This took around 2 weeks for some reason. I just recently found out my scores (this saturday) through a backdoor method. I found them in the printable version of my June SAT2s score report, even though they were not posted in the regular place until today.

It turns out the SAT admin at the school I took it filed a report on the wrong person (me) instead of the person who really had 2 different names on his ID/ticket. It was quite a lot of hassle for having personally done nothing wrong.

I can't believe how most of you were getting very antsy when you couldn't see you scores EARLY. Imagine if you had to wait an entire month extra like me...

Hey thanks for responding...

I'm sorry to hear this. I know that my experience was pretty good, but it's definitely true about the proctors. I've wondered about that before, and what can be done about it.

Flipsta: that just sucks. I don't know what I'd be doing if I had to wait an extra month for my scores. Definitely would've flipped out.
