Just wondering if you put the window/bumper sticker of the college(s) that your kid(s) go to on your car?

Yes -

No -

Just wondering if you put the window/bumper sticker of the college(s) that your kid(s) go to on your car?

Yes -

No -

Yes, but I only have one child.

My daughter has informed me that the day she gets accepted to her first choice, the window decal is going up.

No. For two reasons:

I don’t want someone with a bad attitude or from a rival school being tempted to vandalize my car when I’m not around.

I never put ANY sorts of decals or stickers on my car.

I do have school spirit though. - I wear school t-shirts occasionally.

yes- 2 stickers- one for each of my boys schools

Yep, sure do.

Yes, I had small decals for both my children. And decades ago, my father put stickers for my school and my brother’s school on his car too. We do not put any other decals or stickers on windows or bumpers.

Yes. I have stickers for both of my kids small colleges. Most people have never heard of them from here, so it’s not to show off, it’s because I’m happy for my kids choices.

For 13 years I never put my kids’ private school decal up because it tends to stir up unnecessary emotion of people around where we live. When D1 went away to college, I put her college decal up because when I am driving I like to see in my rear view mirror, it’s something that reminds me of her. Then D2 asked me why I didn’t have her private school’s decal, so now that’s up too.

Yes, I have the window sticker on my car. Also have the window sticker on my (interior) window at work. I bought the kid a hoodie and bought an extra for his friend who is going to the same school, but the hoodie was WAY too big for the friend, so I may get to wear it. (I bought the friend a replacement, something his size!)

And I’ve made one set of tee-shirts, have one for me, one of the kid, and gave some away (to the family of the friend and to another family whose kid is good friends with my kid and the friend) and will make more soon!

The school’s mascot is a llama, so of COURSE I want a tee-shirt that says “I’m a llama mama,” and I’ll make one for the friend’s mom, too.

Not that I’m wildly enthusiastic or anything, though…

Yes, and I wear the sweatshirt, too!

Nope. No bumper stickers. We do have a license plate holder. It was on DS’s car but when he didn’t take the car to school we put it on ours. DD has the plate holder for her new school on her car which she will be taking to college.

Not there yet, but I have no bumper stickers on my car now. Not sure how I’ll feel about college ones. Around here, you get a lot of “My son/daughter and my money go to UT (or A&M).” I find those amusing. And, at this stage, I find it fun to look at people’s college stickers and license plate holder. I’ll definitely get a hoodie or shirt.

Yes-Great way to show support and think about the child when they are gone

I do have a license plate holder, but that is from MY college and not either of my daughters’ schools

Yes, I have the works – rear window decal, license plate holder, sweatshirts, t-shirts, ball cap, etc. Come to think of it, though, I don’t have a coffee mug with the school’s logo – better run out and get that. :-)

We have the small “mascot” decals in the bottom corners of rear window…one for each kid. It really is double duty because S1 went to DH’s school and S2 is at my sch.
Never put stickers on my car until recently.

I also added a license plate frame (Navy Mom…U.S. Navy) in support of S1.
I just read in our newspaper last week that license plate frames will likely be outlawed in our state next year. Guess I’ll enjoy it for a year.

I put my kids’ colleges on my car because I think of them each time I see the sticker.

It’s the same reason I pick up change on the sidewalk; when they were little, one of my kids would hunt for coins on the floor so each time I bend over for a penny I think of that.

My daughter’s first choice school was kind enough to include the sticker in the acceptance envelope. So yes, she had a sticker on her car.

Last mother’s day she got a “Mom” sticker for my car, just to see if I would put it on there. I told her if it was a real mother’s day present she would put it on the car. So yes, I have a bumper sticker on the car.

I’m seriously dating a fellow whose son also has his sights set on this school. My sweetie is very jealous of the bumper sticker. I’m hoping his son gets in so he can have a bumper sticker of his own.

On my old minivan I had one of those “XXXXMOM” school decals from older s’s school in the back window. Then DS’s car died and he got stuck taking my old car to school. He left the “XXXXMOM” in the window. They called him soccermom. My new car has tinted windows in the back, so a decal doesnt show. Hence, no school decals on the newer (now 4 yo) car. Younger s put a decal on his car which will be staying here for the school year, so we may drive it around a bit.
