College chances! need help? I think im screwed!

I choose not to go full IB at my school. I still took many AP's and some IB classes but i thought the full diploma was not necessary. does this eliminate my chances at the top schools( the top 20 or so)? I just want to know if I should bother with some of the applications to these schools. thanks

What are your other stats and ECs these matter much more than just the IB diploma.

I desperately need to improve my SAT score but I have good ec's and gpa. im a urm which people claim gives me an edge.

If you post your ECs, GPA, and rank, it would be easier to say whether or not not having an IB degree detracts from your chances at the top schools.

GPA- dont know for sure yet but should be above 4.0
Class Rank- school doesnt do this
SAT- not good enough, must improve trust me
EC- Soccer both in and out of school, track in school, summer research in chemistry at the U of Buffalo, Senior Class VP, few small awards.

I dont have many ec's but I am very committed to what I do choose to do.

We need to know SAT I scores and SAT II scores to be able to chance you properly. Also, is your 4.0 weighted or unweighted?
And your ECs are really slim.

And what top 20 schools are you considering (surely you are not applying to all of them are you?)

We still need a lot more information to chance you properly.

SAT I- not good enough not even worth posting but will improve
SAT II- Lit-740 US- 660
Im going to try the ACT in Sept as well so hopefully I'll do better on that.

GPA would be above 4.0 weighted. unweighted slightly less

Im looking at Chapel Hill, Berkeley, Boston College, UMich, and USC. I live in NY
