CE, ch-ch-change it!

I left a thread in there. You’re one of the last 90s kids. I expect it to be maintained.

I’m too engrossed in reading the drama on the DOMA thread to bother with HSL right now. grabs a handful of popcorn

That thing is like 5 pages back, at least.

@CE I’ve still got it!

Just a word of caution to anyone who posts in the Parents forum, you have to say you’re a student in any post you post in there. :D

Duh niquii thats like common knowledge

since when do we have to do that? although I’m pretty sure everyone knows that I’m a student by now anyways.
Parent Cafe’s been depressing me lately should stay away from it

EDIT: just saw your posts in the PC Niquii. now I get it x)

@stressed I have been posting there frequently for some time now and I thought they knew I was a student. I guess not.

Since when? Here’s how it came about.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/1520484-doma-its-gone-19.html

We should really respect these parents opinions. One way to show it is to post that you are a student. It really matter to them.

yeah, I’ve seen the thread. hence my edit I don’t know how we should put a little disclaimer though… just a Just to clarify, I’m a student, not a parent at the end of our posts? I feel like that’s drawing a lot of attention to ourselves
on another note, it’s like impossible to have a proper discussion about gay marriage or anything LGBTQ related :/

It is nearly impossible to have a proper discussion. Some jump to conclusions. Some believe it’s their way or the highway. And God forbid someone against a law jumps in. :S

A good disclaimer would be…IDK

just posted in the DOMA thread with a disclaimer

and IKR!? it’s SO annoying that so many people won’t have a proper discussion on it :(

:) I see.

I’m trying to get back on the whole gay rights thing…I’m goin to try once more.

lol Niquii I feel like us non-parents are taking over the PC thread. maybe we should back off

Don’t announce that you’re a student in every post. Just your first post. I find that people are more relaxed when they think other people are what they think they are.

We are on topic now. :)

@Stressed we shouldn’t slack off of the pc. This whole site was designed to aid us students, parents cafe or not.

@Niquii I don’t like talking about legality though… I prefer debating the more subjective, morality shtuff :D

The problem is that a lot of the parents that want that (from a quick read) just want you to say that your a student so that they can ignore your opinion. At least the ones that disagree with them.
It shouldn’t matter. Our arguments should be judged based on the merits of said argument, not when we happened to be conceived. >_>

nah. I get why they want to know. it does sort of give you some perspective when you know more about where someone else is coming from

I with Fast here. Once they know your age, they mock you with it. “Oh, I remember when I was that naive”…“Oh, you think you know everything!”…“You don’t have any real world experience.”

The parents who say this are stupid.

well… they’re sort of right xD sometimes ;)
