College Class of 2017

Passion. My goal is to get a stable job in the government with average pay. Awk.

I chose my major because I love the subject

I like the electrical part of physics and the money is appealing (electrical engineering).

Being able to buy something without having to ask to use a card and instead just informing your parents that you’re expecting a package is nice…

Lol.

I just know an average pay won’t get me the material things that I want.

I will get my Range Rover. My first goal is to get my BMW after I get out of college.

My goal is to get a Audi.

high fives Descuff

Are you moving after college?

I chose my major bc med school.

Omg I want a black matte Lambo or a pink one. Sessy.

But after college I want a red Beetle. So cute.

I’d rather just live in a city and not have to worry about a car and driving. I’m a pretty bad driver…But the thought of owning a nice car is enticing haha.

I’m moving during college. Not gonna come back all 4 years. And given the amount of engineering jobs in this state I might have to leave state to get a well paying one.

I understand completely that the M version of GPU’s do not measure up to the desktop version, and that for the same price, I could have bought a device with better raw performance. I did my research; I didn’t buy this blindly, obviously. It has what I am looking for in a computer (exactly what that is will be shared in a second).

I bought the Razer because I look for more than performance in a computer. Yes, for ~$2000, I could get a gaming desktop that can give me 60 fps on any game. But I want something that offers me something greater than performance. Performance is just the tip of the iceberg, if you excuse the cliche.

When you buy a computer, specifically a laptop, you are committing a rather large sum of money to an object that will be your companion for the foreseeable future. It will be, many times, the only thing that remains stable in one’s life; the only thing that is always there. Thus, it has to be chosen to fit the person.

I don’t mean to say that it should fit your personality. That is bull. But it should, at least, be in some form, an embodiment of you, self-selected by what you value in objects and people. This may sound philosophical, but it is exactly what you do when you buy anything; it is what anyone does when they buy things: you choose what gives you the most utility, which is naturally what embodies “you.”

An Alienware is not what I look for in anything, for I want more than raw power. It has to have finesse, and be well and originally crafted. It also has to be different. This is seen in anything and everything I buy; the Razer is just me expressing myself.

Each product has a consumer base built on people who subscribe to its message, and believe in its views. That is how marketing and purchasing works.

Hey everyone :)

I’m attending University at Buffalo in the fall as a member of the class of 2017.

I guess I’ll jump right in and say I chose my major both because it interests me and to help me get into med school, I guess. I’ve had the idea that I’m going to be a surgeon for a couple of years now and I’m pretty set on it.

Another question for you guys, how are you spending your last summer before college?

@Logic that’s why people stick with game consoles. They are inexpensive (by computer standard) and the best systems to run games on.

@Descuff:
True, but MMOs are played better on a gaming PC, and the console version of games, such as the TES series, tend to lack mod support.

What about ps home, dcuo, and dust 114

I got my housing assignment…My roommate doesn’t have Facebook…This shall be fun.

And my roommate is a purple-haired lesbian. This is awesome. I could never deal with a “normal” girl.

I’m guessing you contacted her after your first post, Serenity?

I’ve known my roommate’s name for almost a month now…haven’t even contacted her yet. :p

I’m rooming with someone from high school…but I kind of regret that.

I’ve been talking to my roommate for months

Anyway, officially a graduate! Ceremony was a mess, my mom bought me a Pandora bracelet
