College Classes and AP's

For the last year I have taken courses at my local community college. I wanted to know if after taking these classes, if I should still take AP tests? Do you think it is necessary? One example specifically, I have taken Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2 and gotten 4.0's in both. Do I still need to take the AP exam for Chemistry? I'm asking because I haven't taken any AP tests yet, but have gotten 4.0's in college classes that are AP test subjects.

If you know what school you will attend, it should be a simple matter to find out how well accepted community college courses and AP test scores are accepted for placement into high level courses.

If not, you may want to check all of the schools you are interested in.

State universities usually have pre-arranged articulations with same state community colleges (for example, in California, see [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) ). With private universities and out of state public universities, community college transfer credit may have to be individually evaluated, or AP credit may be easier to get accepted.
